How we work

From first call to a repo you own.

A short discovery call, a written plan with a fixed first milestone, work shipped in reviewable increments — and a handover of the code, a runbook, and a repository you keep. No long retainer before the work is proven. No black box.

The engagement

Four phases, each with a deliverable.

Every engagement moves through the same four phases. What happens, what you receive, and roughly how long it takes — written down before we start, not discovered as we go.

01

Discovery

Days · not weeks

A short call to understand what you are building, who it is for, and the real constraints. We turn that into a written plan: scope, timeline, and a fixed first milestone you can say yes or no to — before any long commitment.

You get A written plan with scope, timeline, and a fixed first milestone.
02

Design

Brand sprint 3–6 weeks

Brand direction, UI/UX, and the system the build will follow. The same in-house team that designs it is the one that ships it, so what you approve is what gets built — no translation loss between a design vendor and an engineering vendor.

You get Approved direction, design system, and a clear build spec.
03

Build

Site 4–8 weeks · Product 3–6 months

Production engineering shipped in reviewable increments against an environment you can watch fill in. Marketing websites run 4–8 weeks; a full product across web, mobile and backend runs 3–6 months depending on scope. You review as we go, not at one final reveal.

You get Working increments on a live staging environment, reviewed regularly.
04

Launch & handover

~30-day stabilisation

We ship to your accounts and hand over the code, a documented runbook, and a repository you own. A roughly 30-day stabilisation window is included so anything found in real use gets fixed. An ongoing retainer is available, but optional.

You get Owned repo, runbook, deployed product, and a stabilisation window.
At handover

You leave with the whole thing.

Handover is not a slide deck. It is everything you need to run, change, and own the work without us.

01 — Code

The source, deployed

The full codebase, shipped to your accounts and infrastructure. No proprietary platform you have to keep renting to use what we built.

02 — Runbook

A documented runbook

How it is built, how it deploys, and how to operate it — written down so the next person can pick it up without a guided tour.

03 — Repository

A repo you own

The repository is yours. Your team, or any team you choose, can keep building on it. The work is portable, not locked to us.

04 — Stabilisation

~30-day window

A roughly 30-day stabilisation window is included after launch, so issues that only surface in real use are fixed before you are on your own.

05 — Transparency

No black box

Decisions are documented as we make them. Nothing is hidden behind “trust us” — you can see why the system is the way it is.

06 — Optional retainer

Ongoing, if you want it

If you want us to keep shipping features, monitoring, and updates, a retainer is available. It is a choice you make after launch — never a precondition.

Principles

The rules we don't bend.

These are not slogans. They decide how we quote, how we staff, and how we ship — on every engagement.

01

In-house, end to end

One Nexlla team carries each project from discovery to handover, across all six disciplines. No outsourcing, no hand-off to freelancers mid-project.

02

Prove it before the long commitment

We agree a fixed first milestone and deliver it before asking for any long retainer. You decide to continue based on shipped work, not a pitch.

03

Ship in reviewable increments

Work arrives in pieces you can see and react to, against a live environment. No long silence followed by one big reveal at the end.

04

Written quotes, fixed scope

Scope, timeline, and the first milestone are written down before we begin. The plan you approve is the plan we work to.

Questions

The honest answers.

It starts with a short discovery call. From that conversation we write a plan: the scope, a timeline, and a fixed first milestone. You see the shape of the work and what the first deliverable will be before committing to anything long-term.
No. We don't ask for a long retainer before the work is proven. We agree a fixed first milestone, deliver it, and you decide from there. An ongoing retainer is optional and only makes sense once you've seen how we ship.
In-house, end to end. One Nexlla team carries each project from discovery to handover across all six disciplines — brand identity, graphic design, UI/UX, software development, web and mobile development, and applied AI. We don't outsource or hand work off to freelancers.
The code, a documented runbook, and a repository you own, deployed to your accounts. A roughly 30-day stabilisation window is included so issues found in real use get fixed. There's no black box and no proprietary lock-in.
Indicative timelines: a brand identity sprint runs 3–6 weeks, a marketing website 4–8 weeks, and a full product across web, mobile and backend 3–6 months depending on scope. The timeline is fixed in the written plan, and work ships in reviewable increments rather than one final reveal.

Start with a conversation.

Tell us what you're building. You'll leave the first call with a clear shape, a fixed first milestone, and an honest timeline — no retainer required to find out.
