Why direct bookings leak to OTAs

Five-star stay, third-party booking.

The property is exceptional; the booking engine isn't. So guests book through an OTA that takes a cut and owns the relationship — and once they arrive, a clunky app and offline services leave revenue and goodwill on the table for the whole stay.
